Troubleshooting
On an object in Second Life
| You see | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The vendor’s face says “Ready to connect” | It isn’t connected to your shop yet, or has no product. | Touch it as its owner and open the link (“Set up this vendor”). Sign in if asked, then pick the shop and the product. Setting up a vendor |
| “Reconnecting...” stays on the face, and your chat says “backend unreachable - touch to retry” | The vendor can’t reach Plurion yet. | Touch it to retry. If it lasts, reset its script. |
| “SYNC OK” and “Now add your image.” on the face | Nothing’s wrong. It sells, but the product has no photo. | Add a photo to the product. Its picture |
| “Paused: accept DEBIT” above a vendor, a gacha machine or a Plurion Terminal, and no Pay button | The DEBIT permission was refused. | Stand in the same region. Vendor: touch it → Sync now. Plurion Terminal or gacha machine: touch it. Then click Allow access. The DEBIT permission |
| No Pay button, and no floating text | The product is Draft, Sold out or Archived, or its price is 0. | Open the product on Products and make it Active, with a price. A product’s page |
| Left-clicking your own vendor opens Pay | Normal. A vendor that sells opens Pay on left click, even for you. | Right-click it → Promo. For its owner, that opens the menu: Sync now, Magic link, Reset identity. How a vendor stays in sync |
| “NOT LINKED - touch me for your link” above a DropBox, a Plurion Terminal or a visitor counter | It isn’t connected to a shop yet. | Touch it as its owner and open the link. Connecting an object |
| “ALREADY LINKED - delete on dashboard, then touch” above it, or your chat says “delete it on Vendors, then touch” | An older entry for this object is still on your dashboard. | Delete that entry on your dashboard (the bin icon on Vendors or DropBoxes; for a counter, Delete on its page in Visitors), then touch the object again. Connecting an object |
| “OFFLINE - URL denied” above a DropBox | The region has no web address left for scripts, so the box can’t receive deliveries. | Your other live DropBoxes deliver meanwhile, and this one retries every 5 minutes. Free some URLs on the region (remove scripted objects you don’t need) or move the box. Failover |
| A copy you rezzed already works, as part of the original’s shop | Normal. A copy of a connected object joins the same shop. A vendor copy sells the same product; a DropBox copy keeps the items inside, and is stocked separately from then on. | To use it for another shop, open its owner menu → Reset identity, then connect it again. Connecting an object |
| Touching it does nothing at all | You’re not its owner, or its script isn’t running (scripts switched off on the parcel). | Touch it with the avatar that owns it, and check that the parcel allows scripts. |
| Your local chat says “payment rejected (…) - buyer refunded” | Plurion refused that payment, or couldn’t be reached in time. The vendor refunded the buyer in full, with “Sorry, the sale failed - your L$ are returned.” | The buyer can pay again. Rarely, after a timeout, the sale shows in Sales anyway. The item is then on its way, so don’t make them pay twice. If it keeps happening on one vendor, see A vendor isn’t updating. |
| Your shop’s region restarted | Nothing in a region runs while it restarts. | Nothing to do. Your objects there reconnect on their own. Meanwhile, the vendors there can’t sell, and deliveries go to your other live DropBoxes holding the item (Failover). |
On the setup page
| You see | Fix |
|---|---|
| “This link has expired” | Setup links last 24 hours. Touch the object again as its owner for a fresh link. |
| “This object belongs to a different avatar” | This browser is signed in with another avatar than the object’s owner. Sign out, then sign in with the avatar that owns the object. |
| “This object is already linked to another shop” | If that shop is yours too, switch to it to find the object. To link it here instead, reset it first (Reset identity in its owner menu, or delete it in its current shop), then touch it for a new link. |
| “An older entry still uses this prim” | It was set up with a notecard before. Delete that entry on Vendors or DropBoxes (its history stays), then open the link again. |
| The link opened a sign-in page | Normal when this browser isn’t signed in to Plurion. Sign in with the avatar that owns the object. Plurion then takes you to the setup page. |
On your dashboard
| You see | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| “… — never delivered” in the bell (top right), and a number next to Sales in the sidebar | A paid sale couldn’t be delivered, and Plurion has stopped trying. | Open the bell and click that line. Sales opens on the sale. A customer didn’t get their item |
| “Delivery delayed — still retrying” in the bell | A paid sale still isn’t delivered 15 minutes after Plurion queued it. Plurion keeps trying, and the sale counts in the number next to Sales. | Check that a live DropBox holds the item, under its exact name, and the next try delivers. Click the line to open the sale. Late on Sales lists them all. If a DropBox can’t deliver |
“Unreachable” on a vendor’s row, an amber dot, or a vendor missing from Vendors | The vendor is behind, or has gone silent. | A vendor isn’t updating gives the fix for each sign. |
| “Offline · skipped” on a DropBox | Plurion can’t reach it, so deliveries go to your other boxes. | Check that its region is up and the box still rezzed, then touch it → Sync now. Failover |
A red “… shares failed to pay out” block on Splits | A share couldn’t be paid, and Plurion won’t send it again on its own. | Click Retry next to it. A share wasn’t paid |
| A product is missing from your online shop | Its page says why, in the right column: “Not listed in your online shop: …”. | Fix the reason given: its status, the List in your online shop switch, or no live DropBox holding the item. Online shop |
An item you put in a DropBox isn’t in the Inbox of Products | It’s already a product, you ignored it, its name starts with a dot, it’s a script or a landmark (never listed), or the page hasn’t re-read your DropBoxes yet. | Come back to Products (it re-reads your DropBoxes each time) or reload it, and check the “… ignored” button at the top of the Inbox. The Inbox |
Customers, sign-in and Pro
| You see | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A customer says the link from your terminal doesn’t open | A terminal link works once, within 15 minutes. | They touch the terminal again. Away from your shop, they sign in on their hub with their password, or a code sent to their local chat (How customers get in). |
| A customer gets no link at all from your terminal | They’re banned at Level 2 or 3. | By design. Banning a customer |
| A store-credit purchase went back to the customer’s balance | The item couldn’t be delivered. | A store-credit purchase came back |
| “Too many failed attempts. Wait a few minutes and try again.” | 5 wrong passwords in a row. | Wait up to 15 minutes, or sign in with a login code. |
| “Too many codes asked for this avatar today. Use your password, or try again later.” | At most 10 codes a day from the sign-in page. | Use your password, or try again later. |
| You forgot your password | A password is optional. | Sign in with a login code, then set a new one. You can’t sign in |
| The Merchants Terminal answers “session expired” or “busy with another payer” | One payer at a time, 90 seconds between steps. | See every answer and what to do in Going Pro. |
A customer didn’t get their item
Most often, the item isn’t in any live DropBox. It was renamed or removed, or its box is offline.
- On the webOpen the saleOpen the bell at the top right and click the “… — never delivered” line: Sales opens on that sale. (Or, on Sales, set the period to All time and press Undelivered.) Its delivery log shows every attempt and the last error.
- On the webPut the item backOn
Products, the No inventory filter lists every product whose item no DropBox holds. If yours is there, put the item back in a live DropBox, named exactly like the item name on the product. If the item only sits in an offline box, check that box onDropBoxes. - On the webRetry, or refundRetry delivery sends it again. To refund instead, pay the buyer back in Second Life, then click Mark refunded. Plurion never held the L$, so it can’t refund for you.
What happens before a sale lands here: When a sale shows as undelivered.
A vendor isn’t updating
Price and product changes reach your vendors on their own. When one is behind, its row on Vendors tells you why:
- “Unreachable” on its row: Plurion’s last updates failed to reach it. Its next sale reconnects it, or click the vendor → Sync now. The row clears shortly after. If it doesn’t, reset its script.
- An amber dot: no answer for over a day (Plurion checks every vendor daily). Check that the region is up and the vendor still rezzed.
- A green dot but an old price: right-click the vendor → Promo → Sync now.
- Not in the list at all: press Ghosts. It shows only vendors silent for over 7 days, usually ones deleted in-world. If one still exists, try its Sync now before deleting it, since Delete makes it start over as a new vendor.
A store-credit purchase came back
The item couldn’t be delivered, so the customer’s credit went straight back to their balance. Usually the item left your DropBoxes after they bought it (renamed, removed, or its box went offline). Put it back under the product’s exact item name and the product returns to your online shop on its own. To stop selling it online meanwhile, switch off List in your online shop on the product.
A share wasn’t paid
Most shares leave with the sale, paid in L$ by your vendor. If one can’t leave then, Plurion sends it later through one of your vendors, on its own. A failed share waits in red at the top of Splits, with its reason, and only goes out when you click Retry.
If the sale’s vendor is gone, the row shows “No live vendor can send this share any more” instead of Retry. Pay your partner by hand, then click Mark as paid. See When a share fails.
You can’t sign in
First check you’re on the right avatar, since a Plurion account belongs to one avatar. Then use a login code. On the sign-in page, choose Login code, and the code arrives at once in your local chat. See Signing in with a login code.
Forgot your password? Sign in with a login code from the sign-in page, then open Settings on your Hub within 15 minutes. You can set a new password there without the current one. Doing so signs out your other devices and stops their notifications. See Signing in with a password.

Still stuck?
Ask on the Plurion Discord or through the contact page. To get an answer in one go, include:
- your shop name;
- the object’s name and its region, or the dashboard page you were on;
- roughly when it happened;
- the exact line the object said in chat, copied as it is.
