Scheduled discounts
In the appMarketing → Discounts
A scheduled discount is a sale with a start and an end. Your vendors show the lower price during that time, then go back to normal by themselves. Your regular prices are never overwritten, and there’s nothing to do in-world.
Discount, promo code or loyalty offer?
| Scheduled discount | Promo code | Loyalty offer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who gets it | Everyone | Whoever types the code, or one avatar you choose | Buyers who already own a product you chose, or a free item with a purchase |
| What the buyer does | Nothing | Right-clicks the vendor → Promo, types the code, then pays | Nothing |
| Price on the vendor | Lowered | Regular | Regular |
| How the saving arrives | They pay less | L$ sent back right after paying | L$ sent back right after paying, or a free item |
| Change it later | Duplicate it, then end the old one | Edit it (except the code and its % or L$ type) | Create a new one, cancel the old |
| Chapter | This one | Promo codes | Loyalty offers |
Where reductions apply, and how they combine
- At your Plurion vendors only. Not in your online shop, which always sells at the regular price, and not at gacha machines.
- Two discounts never add up. If two cover the same item, one of them wins (which one).
- A promo code or a loyalty offer adds to a running discount. A percentage is worked out on the regular price, and the vendor sends that part back right after payment. A buyer never gets back more than they paid in total.
- Refunds use DEBIT. The vendor sends that money back with its DEBIT permission. A vendor without it doesn’t sell at all.
- Regular price L$100
- A 20 % discount runs: the vendor shows L$80
- The buyer enters a 10 % code and pays L$80
- L$10 comes back: 10 % of L$100
- In the end: L$70
Create a discount
- On the webOpen the formGo to
Marketing→Discountsand click Create your first discount (later: New discount, or a shortcut such as Weekend −20% that fills the form for you). - On the webName it and set the amountThe name is for you. Buyers never see it. Choose % (1 to 99) or L$, and type the amount. Just below, the preview shows your real prices before → after.
- On the webChoose the scopeShop-wide covers every product. Specific products lets you tick the ones on sale.
- On the webSet the dates and createBy default it starts now and runs 7 days. Change Starts at and Ends at (in your computer’s time zone), or click 24 hours, 7 days or Weekend. Then click Create discount.
If something’s off
- The form says “The discount must be below the price of …” → a fixed L$ amount can never make an item free. Lower the amount, or untick that product. With Shop-wide, items priced at or below the amount keep their price.
- One vendor still shows the old price → it probably shows as Unreachable on
Vendors(vendor health). Nobody is charged the wrong price meanwhile, since its next sale is checked against the right price and updates it.
When it starts and ends
Your vendors switch to the sale price within about a minute of the start, and back within about a minute of the end. A buyer caught in that minute is protected:
- Paid the old, higher price just after the start? The sale goes through at the sale price, and the vendor sends the difference back.
- Paid the sale price up to 3 minutes after the end? The sale goes through at that price.
- If you pause a discount or stop it with End discount, there’s no grace period. A payment at the old sale price is refused and refunded in full.
When two discounts overlap
If a shop-wide and a product discount both cover an item, the product one wins. Between two of the same kind, the older one wins. The form warns you with “Overlaps an existing discount” and names it. A promo code or a loyalty offer, however, does combine with a discount (how).
Pause, end, change, archive
- Statuses. Scheduled, Active, Paused, Ended (its window has passed) and Canceled (you stopped it).
- Pause and Resume are on its row, or on the running discount’s card. While paused, new sales pay the regular price, until you resume it (before its end date).
- End discount on its row (or End now on the running card) stops it for good, or cancels a scheduled one before it starts. This can’t be undone.
- To change one, click Duplicate (copy icon), adjust, click Create copy, then end the old one. The dates restart from now.
- Archive moves a finished discount to the Archived tab, where Restore brings it back.
- Results. Each row shows the full price of its sales (before discounts) and their number, and
Gross on discountadds them up. Click a discount for the detail and a curve.
Common questions
Does my vendor show “SALE” anywhere?
No, only its price changes. Announce your sale yourself, with a group notice or a sign in your shop.
